New York Fashion Week for SS18 is on right now! And however lovely it is to long for our summer weather back as it seems to have disappeared for good now, we need to start focusing on our winter warmers for this current season.
There are lots of Vintage trends coming into high streets, the heritage check being the big one. If you are looking for work wear you will be in for a treat this season, it's on trend and it looks key for your office meetings. Think big shoulder pads, wide leg cropped trousers and pencil skirts.
Vinyl is making a come back, 80's punk patent leather, especially in skirts and slim leg trousers. Celebs have been seen in dresses but unless you are going to stand still for the duration of an evening then really think about whether a dress is for you. River Island of all places has one advertised in Elle this month with a slight split and a zip at the front. The split on a pencil skirt will allow the movement and zip all the way up allows for some shape. This trend will not be for everyone but when done right it looks amazing!
All about Red
RED, RED, RED!!!! It doesn't matter which tone, red is the colour to buy into this season. So find one that suits you, if you can't wear red, try an accessories or shoes. With a black outfit and camel coat, a red shoe gives that pop of colour!
Boots are going almost thigh high, 80's style big boots, skin tight sock boots over the knee and then ankle sock boots. Be careful where boots hit you on the leg and what you wear with them. The length and the outfit can make these.
Space age bling! Silver, sequins, crystals and sparkles are being seen every where especially AW17 Chanel. There is nothing wrong with a big of sheen and shine in your wardrobe to brighten it up. There are all different tones too so pick yours well.
Find the gaps in your wardrobe and see if you need to add these trends to complete it or just add them to your capsule.
I can offer a consultation, wardrobe workout, see what you need and then a personal shopping experience to fill the gaps in your wardrobe.
