S Robins Styling
The season is changing and so is the temperature. It is time to sort through your wardrobes again, clear the summer pieces out and pack them away and go through missing areas in your wardrobe ready for the cold season.
Look at trends and see what you would like to update your wardrobe with if the pieces are missing.
Have you got a good winter coat? Coats have been appearing since mid august in stores and although it may seem early, this is a perfect time to be investing in your winter coat. You can shop around and find the perfect pieces, do you want a casual and a smart coat? How is your coat looking from last year? Are you updating from smart to casual? Or vice versa. Have your living circumstances changed?
Here are a few high street pieces that I have found so far this season; look at getting the perfect coat for your shape, also always wear a coat that fits, if it is slightly wrong in both sizes then try a different style. There are lots of styles coming through for AW17, which one is for you?
&other Stories have a great selection this season, autumnal colours and a range of long short, belted or oversized. There are also a lot of colours rather than just black or navy.
The Maje coats are coming through this week, these styles are really unique and have given me a real interest in the brand. The rest of the collection has some great pieces. The first coat has lovely detail, the stripe across brings attention to the waist, the arms and cuff have the cream and shearling which creates a stunning look. I love this more casual piece, great for someone going from a very smart wardrobe to a more casual one.
The padded bomber detail is beautiful, again a casual piece but can be dressed up. Oversized would give a really on trend look with the bow and birds giving a feminine feel.
The khaki coat is oversized with a fur hood. Casual but dress this over a smart look for a smart casual dress code.
Maje is offering a wide range of fits and styles this season so a brand to try for sure.
These coats are real winter warmers!
H&M have covered all angles with lower price points.
The Leather PVC trench is amazing, retailing at £200 this will be the lowest cost but a fab piece to have in your wardrobe as a show stopper.
The cocoon details and tie waist are here also along with some check and leopard print.
H&M provide us with real leather and faux depending on what your budget is.
Keep a look out for my next blog, I will be focussing on winter wear and what to update your wardrobe with; for workwear and casual wear
