Planning your wardrobe for the season can be tricky!
If you are planning to get a whole new wardrobe it is very tempting to go out and spend on cheap items and get loads of them but unfortunately this is what gets us to the point of not wearing 80% of what is in our wardrobe.
What we should look at when shopping is what are we actually going to wear. Take a picture of it on then walk away, have a coffee and see what it looks like after 10 minutes. Will it fit in your capsule wardrobe? Is it the type of thing you will wear on a day to day basis? This is what you need to take into account when shopping for everyday pieces.
When you are shopping for something special try and get something that you will be able to wear again. Or if it is a one off event, rent it to save yourself money and to stop waste of clothing. Charity shops can be the most amazing places if you look in the right location :)!
If we buy for quality and not quantity we can build a capsule wardrobe, no more than 16 items that will create 125 outfit changes!
Think about this when you are next shopping, make the most of your working wardrobe! If you need some help contact me and I will be able to give you some guidance.
Once you have your capsule, you can add pieces if you like but you will know if and what is missing.
Below is 12 piece Capsule and a 16 piece capsule. This is someone who wears casual pieces more than smart and this is the go to everyday wardrobe
