Every shade of beige, camel, brown and khaki are everywhere this season so it is going to be easy to find your shade, Everyone can wear neutrals but it is finding which works best for you and your skin tone.
Chunky flat boots
Every brand has jumped on this trend. Chunky soles and Chelsea styles or even wellie styles. There are options for almost everyone.
I think with further lockdown restrictions pending, these are so well worth the investment as they are a comfortable style and can be worn with everything!
I know these are not for everyone but actually as a style they seem to work with pretty much anything. Loose fitting long styles can be worn as an over piece or belted into an outfit or cropped pieces to wear over shirts or on its own. Whichever you prefer there is an option there for you.
Throughout lockdown we have seen more and more cosy tracksuits coming through on our online stores.
Dress it up so it looks slightly smarter, go for slimmer styles so you still feel premium or go for the biggest and baggiest to be cosy while you work from home.
If you are a fan of leather then this season was made for you! There is leather/pleather and vegan leather everywhere! Leather is a great staple to have in your wardrobe to wear throughout all seasons and I'm not just talking jackets. Skirts and trousers, jackets and shirts.
I hope you enjoyed my autumn capsule pieces.
I am NOT endorsed by any brands, these are just some of my favourites at the moment and where I have found the best (in my opinion) options.
Please click on the pictures for the links to the items I have put on here
If second hand isn’t your thing and you are not getting involved with second hand september. Take a look and research what you are buying.
I am talking about supporting small businesses who are trying and succeeding in doing better for the environment.
It is really important to support these small brands, it may cost you slightly more than shopping on the high street but you are getting pieces that have a lot of love put into them.
High street fashion is a love of mine but mix and match and broaden your wardrobe.
I want to share a few brands with you that I love, they are fresh, they care about what they are doing and they care about what you want. With Christmas just round the corner, it is so important to keep these brands alive.
Here are some of my favourite pieces for autumn from these wonderful brands
“Based in London, ESTHÉ is a contemporary designer brand which continues an ethical 40-year-old family tradition in the textile industry.
ESTHÉ manages to stay relevant and fashion-forward thanks to its team of young creatives collaborating across Europe.
Committed to a more conscious and human-centered manufacturing, ESTHÉ redefines sustainability by adopting a made – on –demand company culture that allows stock elimination and contributes in the fight against the environmental threatening fashion waste.
All ESTHÉ garments are exclusively Made In Europe.”www.esthe.co.uk/shop/

“When our founder, Nika Diamond-Krendel, first discovered how East London was once home to a booming manufacturing and textile industry, she wondered why an area that is internationally known for its designers didn't seem to be experiencing the industrial impact of this movement.
She learned that in over only thirty years, just a handful of leather workshops were left from what was once a thriving textile culture, due to British brands outsourcing their manufacturing abroad. This decline has led to local jobs disappearing, skills honed over generations being lost and, ultimately, the death of craftsmanship. Nika felt it a tragedy that an area with such a strong history was powerless in the eradication of its identity.www.paradiserowlondon.com

The problem with Social media is we have this fear of wearing the same thing twice?!
It has always been something people have said to me "I can't wear this again as people have seen me in it already"
This is where people go wrong. Change how you wear your clothing, wear it in different ways. Add accessories, play with your clothing.
Spend a little more on something you love and make the most of every penny you have spent by wearing it all the time!
My partner bought me this beautiful Ganni top a few weeks ago and I have worn it so much and I know I will get so much wear from it.
When I buy, I try on with everything I already have and make it mine! If it works with my current pieces, it's a keeper.
NEVER BUY SOMETHING THAT NEED'S TO SOMETHING ELSE NEW TO WEAR WITH IT!
This stops your options and will stop any outfit changes!
Here are a few of my pieces, worn differently.
Play with your wardrobe, make it work for your lifestyle and especially for YOU!
Need to photo shoot my looks a bit more with this one! I have styled it 3 different ways in pictures for you to see how different it looks!
My New top shown in different ways to wear
Try wrap dresses in different ways, twist, turn, tuck and button! There are so many ways to wear, especially in a silky fabric
Another one I love to style in different ways! wear as a top or skirt, you decide!
Wrap tops! Wraps tops are so versatile and suit a huge amount of body shapes. Finding the right one for you will give you endless possibilities. I have gone for a puff sleeve to balance out my hips, the V is quite deep on this and is great for smaller bust! However lots of brands do them and we can find the right one for you 😌
The sun has been shining and we have had the luxury of incredible weather. It is warm in the air even when it is raining and Linen has made a HUGE come back to our stores with social media pushing it!
As we are getting back to the new, normal way of life it is time to start thinking about what we should have in our wardrobes. Venturing out to have socially distanced meet ups is giving everyone a new meaning, on the super hot days we have been having there is nothing better to wear than linen clothing!
A Few Facts about Linen!
(The following information I retrieved from the website linked below so for anymore please click on the link (for more in depth).)
Click the link below to see the making process; I do want to point out that there are 2 processes -
- Natural Retting - This is where natural bacteria breaks down the pectin, this takes longer but is the best way.
-Fast Retting - this is where chemicals are used to break down the pectin which is much worse for the environment and more likely to be used in Fast Fashion.
I have come across a lot of linen in high street stores but if you are looking for something a little different, here are 2 great linen summer brands I want to share with you and I believe are perfect for now!
(I am no way affiliated with either of these brands, this is NOT an AD. I love to support small businesses and I would love to share them with you)
Or 'The Míe' if you are looking on instagram. This brand is based in Lagos in Nigeria, they have the most stunning linen and cotton pieces. Made in Nigeria .
'Míe is a lifestyle brand that provides design and fashion consciously made to be nature-friendly. Our focus is on resort wear, made with natural and biodegradable fabrics, that are breathable, elegant and functional, for conscious women and all women with refined taste.'
They currently don't have any stockists in the UK, however they do deliver here and I would highly recommend taking a look at their website!
I could show you the whole collection as I love it all! However I have linked each piece so click on the picture to have a better look.
Femme by Freya Lillie
This beautiful brand was created following on from her children's range of good quality linen pieces that will last for years and years! It is such a beautiful range and all made in the UK!
They have a very grecian style and all looks incredibly natural!
'At Freya Lillie we strive to deliver products of the highest quality, whilst also minimising the impact we have on the environment. Sustainability is defined as having respect for people and the planet; without this respect, the next generation will be in short supply of resources.'
TIPS for Linen
With Black Friday looming and deals (fake or real) being shown at us (I believe I had 50 new emails today all about black Friday)
Sustainability has become something we need to look at more and more as the world needs our help.
Since the rise of social media, bloggers telling you to buy cheap product constantly and emails for any promotion possible from every brand you can think of. Social media adverts popping up with new in pieces that you have never seen before! It’s all around us all the time!
I have my older sister to thank for this article as she is the one who has always tried to tell me we need to be better to the environment and now her lessons are really sinking in!
I would love to know how you feel about this matter, I have a few tips for you to help you create a better wardrobe for the planet and for your bank balance.
If you have anymore information or want to chat anymore please get in touch and #boycotblackfriday
I am finding dresses really easy to wear at the moment, whether it's with a big jumper over the top and thermal leggings underneath or on milder days, a fine roll neck underneath and tights and boots. It really helps to lift your wardrobe and they are great to have throughout winter and summer making your working wardrobe more vesitile.
Midi dresses or minis are better for when it's wet. Maxi dresses are great when it's dry!
Here are a few I have picked out recently in Iris Fashion near my home town. I hope you like.
This is not an add, just pieces I love.
The above is a Stine Goya dress
The above is an Iris own brand piece 'By Iris' label. This dress is a beautiful shape if you are small chested and they are also bringing it out in a Green velvet in the next few weeks.
The price label is great and the floral print is beautiful.
By Iris Shae dress £165
The Ba&sh midi dress with a black suede knee high boot is to die for. They also do it in another colour way but this has got to be my favourite for me! This dress is so wearable throughout the seasons and can be worn extremely casually or very dressed up.
They are my top picks for now, I wanted to just give you a little taste of what I have been looking at, I will come up with some more posts for you soon, all about Christmas dressing!
